Who are you?
Ming YIN, fashion designer who has been living in Paris over the last decade. I headed off to Paris from China in 2000 to continue the fashion studies at the Studio Bercot. Fasinated by Paris (almost every side of Paris), I decided to settle down my career in this city. In 2011, I started my own workshop: "Three Animals workshop", then I launched my first menswear label "Three Animals".
How did you start in fashion?
I started in fashion when I was in China, After 4 years of studies in Fashion design at BIFT (Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, is one of the most well-known fashion school in China).
How would you define your style?
"Three Animals" (elephant, camel, and goat) depicted in the ethnic-style logo, stand for treasure, a free mind and a classic yet advendurous spirit.
A powerful mix and not suprisingly, an "East meets West" creative endeavour , also a strong sense of craftsmanship and direction.
What inspires you?
1920's men's fashion in Paris which stood for elegance and masculinity, and workwear's culture which is the most timeless fashion trend.
A few words about this collection...
The Spring/Summer collection brings fresh and soft colors, and a strong inventivity in the details. This collection is more refined with more formal pieces than the previous ones. The lightness of the fabrics, the fineness of the detailing with the extravagance of the patterns make this collection very unique.
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
The wool and ramie blazer is my favorite piece because the fabric is exclusive to Three Animals. It is important for a perfect fit of the jacket: fitted without being too slim. And it features our floral lining which is the signature of the brand.
What are you most proud of?
Our design made for nostalgic minds, eastern minimalism and understated nuances pair with the characteristic french flair. Our strict selection of materials and environmental friendly production processes. Our efforts on the details which make our products more durable
Where do you manufacture your products?
In our Shanghai workshop with our highly professional production team.
